The Scenic Route received a silver award in the category Internal Communication (Other) at the recent WorldMediaFestival, held in Hamburg on May 13 and 14, 2008.

The award was for Pain and Gain - Meet the Performers, 4 x 2 minute videos produced by The Scenic Route for Serco for use at a live event.

The videos were used to introduce circus acts, performing as part of the Serco Chairman's Achievement Awards ceremony and gala dinner in May 2006. Serco plc is the largest Outsourcing and Facilities Management Company in Europe. The performances were extracts from Hotel, a show devised by Circus Space, London.

The WorldMediaFestival awards recognise excellence in modern communications media, and are acknowledged internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in modern communication. The awards are regarded in the industry as one of the world's highest honours for audiovisual communications solutions, and winners are among the leaders in their profession.

We should probably do this more often. It was nice to get out and meet new people, have a party and come home with an award.
