Eastern Mediterranean Treasures

Begin your culinary journey in Porto, Portugal’s ancient second city. Here, sample world-famous port wines at historic cellar doors, savouring the rich, spicy aroma synonymous with the Douro Valley’s favourite tipple. Porto has long been the world capital of port wine, so a measure of this satisfying spirit is a must before you step on board Scenic Eclipse to begin your captivating journey north.

In the windswept Scilly Isles, our Discovery Team will introduce the beautiful Tresco Abbey Garden, home to an incredible array of native species. Inspired by the culinary influence of settlers from all four corners of the globe, Caribbean cuisine is among the world’s most exciting and distinctive, offering fresh flavours to suit any palate. Join us for our unforgettable Taste of Cuba & Caribbean ocean cruise, and discover the tantalising gastronomies of these island havens for yourself.

Cuba marks your first foray into the spirit of island life, and here you’ll follow the footsteps of Hemingway with an enriching sightseeing tour of Havana, Cuba’s vibrant capital. Ride a 1950s car through the nostalgic streets, before visiting the Rum Museum to discover Cuba’s proud spirit-making heritage. There’s chance to savour this fragrant export later, as you join your fellow adventurers for a Scenic Enrich cultural performance of Cuban percussion drums and dancing.

Sailing south-west through the Caribbean archipelago, you’ll reach the stunning Isla de Providencia, a Colombian territory renowned as the former hideout of notorious pirate Henry Morgan, who raided settlements on the Spanish Main throughout the 17th century. Here, you’re free to relax on one of the many secluded beaches which dot the island, exploring surrounding coves by kayak before settling on the sand with a chef-prepared picnic.
