Anne Frank app released to help you discover Amsterdam

Amsterdam is one of many places that holidaymakers can visit on their river cruises in Europe, with the Anne Frank Museum most likely to be top of the list of things to do in Amsterdam. The tragic story of Anne Frank, one of millions killed in the Holocaust, and her famous diary is told by the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam. The museum, situated in the same building where Anne Frank lived, welcomes over 1 million visitors every year and is now offering locals and tourists the chance to see “Anne’s Amsterdam” in the form of an app. The “Anne’s Amsterdam” app uses GPS on a tour of 30 sites around the city that have some relevance to Anne. These include her school and the annex where she hid with her family from the Nazis. App features include eyewitness accounts and cleverly edited photos that blend the past with the present. Whilst the insight does give a fascinating insight into this wonderful destination, tourists should take roaming charges into account when using Smart Phones abroad. Talk to your service provider about data bundles before heading on your cruise. Image Credit: Abetens (Wikipedia)
