Prince Charles praises Romania during visit

Prince Charles recently made a visit to Bucharest to meet with leaders of Romania and to appear at a presentation for those celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The heir to the British throne was very complimentary of the country and talked about his love for Romania and stated it is very special to him and has lots of cultural value. Before his stop off in Bucharest, the Prince spent time trekking through Transylvania, home to Vlad the Impaler who is said to be a distant relative of the royals. The Royals are said to have a connection with Romania, with Charles owning property in Transylvania and Prince Harry spending Easter there earlier in the year. If you would like to visit Bucharest, you can take one of our Europe river cruises like the Black Sea Explorer which also visits countries such as Serbia and Bulgaria. Image credit: Fanch the System
