Prince Charles enjoys Romania

Romania has received the seal of royal approval after a visit from Prince Charles. The day after Charles celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with the royal family, he was holidaying in some of Romania’s rural areas which he described as “the jewel in Romania’s crown”. The heir to the British throne enjoyed the picturesque rural scenery which looks like it has come straight out of a Grimm’s fairy tale. Charles has even claimed to be related to Vlad the Impaler, the cruel Romanian prince who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula. His love for the country extends to the food and drink of the region, including locally made elderflower cordial and ‘royal’honey which has been given the prince’s approval to be sold in Fortnum and Mason. Members of the royal family seem to enjoy spending time in Romania and Prince Harry visited as recently as Easter.
