Melbourne named world’s most liveable city once again

Melbourne has been named as the world’s most liveable city for the second time in as many years, beating the likes of Vienna in Austria and Vancouver in Canada to reclaim the top spot in a Global Liveability Survey. Organised by the Economist Intelligence Unit, 140 different cities across the world were put through their paces in the survey, which takes into consideration the availability of services and the effectiveness of the city’s infrastructure rather than actual cost of living. It found that out of a maximum of 100%, Melbourne claimed a staggering 97.5%, followed closely by Vienna and Vancouver which recorded 97.4% and 97.3% respectively. With its incredible landscapes, varied culture and fantastic sights and sounds, it comes as no surprise that Melbourne is a city in demand.
