Australia Looks Great from Space Claims Astronaut

Colonel Robert Shane said that the country’s huge, open expanses and bright green and reddish-brown colours made it distinct and a pleasure to look at, and that the entire planet looked so peaceful. He spent fifteen days in space, blasting up on the space shuttle Endeavour and then rendezvousing with the ISS, where he spent a total of twelve hours space walking. Each time he had some downtime he’d end up looking out through one of the windows, and it always seemed to be as the space station was orbiting over Australia. Although few people will get the chance to see the country from the same perspective he enjoyed, it’s perfectly possible to see the landmarks and scenery that Australia provides yourself by heading off on one of our fantastic Australia tours.
