Dunedin tourism website wins prestigious award

Dunedin is certainly going to be one of the favourite stop off destinations on New Zealand tours after the Tourism Dunedin website won a major award. At the 2012 eTourism conference, Tourism Dunedin walked away with the award for best regional tourism organisation, with particular praise being passed on to its website. The site apparently engaged tourists with unique content and a great user experience. According to a spokesperson from the judging panel, the website stood out from all the others thanks to it giving great insight into what Dunedin is like for both tourists and locals, providing relevant and interesting content on attractions and activities that Dunedin offers. When it comes to things to see and do, Dunedin has plenty, including visiting Larnach Castle, taking a tour of Speight’s Brewery, or spotting the Yellow-Eyed Penguins at Otago Peninsula, and Tourism Dunedin can tell users about all this and more. So why not head to the Tourism Dunedin website before paying a visit to the beautiful town? Image Credit: Ian Armstrong (flickr.com)
