Website names Nuremberg a top winter destination

Included in the list of hot places to go were destinations such as Abu Dhabi and Koh Lipe in Thailand, and cold places included Antarctica and Montreal, but topping the entire list was Nuremberg. The legendary Nuremberg Christmas market is a favourite with people all over the world, not just those who visit the city whilst on Danube river cruises. The epitome of Nat King Cole’s ‘The Christmas Song’, there will be plenty of chestnuts roasting on open fires and Jack Frost will probably be nipping at noses. Delicious and warming Glühwein is a real Christmas indulgence, whilst a traditional carousel and stalls of wooden gifts complete the festive atmosphere. Although the Christmas market is one of the busiest times in Nuremberg, the city is one of the top places to visit in Germany at any time of year, with plenty of WWII history to discover and German delicacies to be found at their best.
