Population of New York hits all-time high

Estimates from the Census Bureau show that an all-time high of around 8,336,697 people are now living in New York City, with more coming to live in the city than ever before. Mayor Bloomberg praised the city for being an attractive place to live as well as a great place to visit on a tour of the USA, saying that more people are coming to New York rather than leaving for the first time since around 1950.

Describing the city as a "magnet", there are plenty of reasons why people have fallen in love with New York. As well as being a bustling and lively city, New York offers some of the top shopping, shows and attractions in the country, and no tour of America would be complete without seeing some of its landmarks.
