Cutler & Co.
Part of Andrew McConnell's impressive culinary empire, Cutler & Co. offers the complete package: the contemporary cuisine is delicious; the restaurant, housed within an old metal works factory, is beautiful; the recommendations are plentiful and the wine pairings are very complimentary. The dessert list is fascinating, including parsnip cake with banana ice cream.
Cantonese food elevated to fine dining is what the Flower Drum does best. The restaurant has repeatedly won awards in local dining bible 'The Age Good Food Guide', particularly for their highly recommended Peking Duck.
Vue de Monde
Another of Melbourne's most famous restaurants, Vue de Monde is a restaurant that every fan of fine dining across the globe will want to visit at least once in their lives. Situated high in the Rialto Tower, a good view can be enjoyed whilst tasting dishes including confit duck leg with rainbow carrots.
One of the best restaurants in the world according to S. Pellegrino's 'World's 50 Best Restaurants' list for 2013, Attica has a great reputation that has been well earned. Cuisine is contemporary and includes dishes such as King George Whiting in Paperbark.
