The festival – called the Taste of Perth – will be a three-day event and this week the line-up of chefs was announced.
Chefs from top Western Australian restaurants such as Bistro Guillaume, Lalla Rookh, Greenhouse, El Publico, Silks, Nobu and Print Hall will all be attending the event.
The festival is organised by Brand Events, who stage 18 taste events around the world including in London, Toronto and Sydney.
17,000 people expected to attend Taste of Perth
The most recent Sydney Taste event attracted an incredible 25,000 visitors and organisers are expecting thousands to attend the festival in Perth, with people heading on Australian tours from the UK and other visitors from across the globe predicted as taking an interest in the event.
Simon Wilson, the event’s director, says, "We're going to start modestly in Perth with 10 restaurants and an expected 17,000 people through the gates.
"It's a great day out with great food shopping and eating experiences.”
The festival is not only aimed at showing off the skills of Western Australia’s top chefs but is also there to highlight local produce and visitors will be able to learn more about foods from around the region.
Attendees will get to taste the best food that Perth has to offer and will not have to pay for dishes that would otherwise be extremely expensive.
The Perth Taste Festival will be the finale of the Eat Drink Perth festival season, which is taking place throughout April. Tickets for the Taste of Perth festival will cost just AUS $32 per person or AUS $155 for VIP entry.
