It comes after the West Australian public were asked to comment on a draft strategy on the aviation future of the state, which includes the construction of an additional airport or a second runway at the existing facility. With more people than ever now flying in to discover Perth during their Australian tours, the plans are aimed to help the city cope with growing visitor levels for the next 40 to 50 years.
The strategy also stated that a new hub would help to ease the strain on Jandakot, an airport in Perth which remains one of the busiest in the whole of Australia.
While these proposals are still only in the developmental stage, the plans could be fantastic for the state as a whole, offering even more opportunity for people to discover the city and surrounding area on their future holidays Down Under.
