The ship’s launch is certain to be one of the highlights of the 2018 cruise calendar. With the countdown to Scenic Eclipse underway, we sat down with Scenic founder, Glen Moroney, to find out how the World’s First Discovery Yacht was first conceived, and the overarching vision behind the vessel.

We are determined to ensure every Scenic Eclipse itinerary offers experiences which take you beyond the horizon and explore parts of the world that, until now, have been untouchable to the ordinary traveller.

This is why we’ve collected input from experts from all around the world, to discover what makes unforgettable moments and provides inspiring experiences. In doing so, we have been able to curate exceptional itineraries which provide once-in-a-lifetime experiences in the midst of Scenic Eclipse’s 6-star luxury.

Neatly nestled in the Hauraki Gulf, New Zealand’s Waiheke Island is home to a veritable feast of foodie treasures. The country’s most densely populated island, its locally produced fare makes it a prominent destination for the well-seasoned eater, offering culinary delights for all palates and appetites.

Part of our Ultimate New Zealand itinerary, we’ll run through a selection of its specials that make it an undoubted highlight of this escorted tour.

Russia’s second-largest city is home to some truly awe-inspiring architectural delights. A colourful, mysterious marvel, St. Petersburg’s splendour is informed by the baroque building style, creating a city that’s brimming with triumphant, intense sights.

Though it’s not the only architectural style apparent in St. Petersburg, baroque design is certainly prevalent throughout the city. Characterised by a focus on light and shadow, opulent ceiling frescoes and ornate facades, baroque impacted what was the Russian Empire’s capital in the 18th century, helping to cement a 200-year legacy that produced some of the city’s most imposing yet enchanting buildings in the country.

Steeped in Māori mythology and World Heritage prestige, Cape Reinga, literally means ‘the leaping place of spirits’, it blesses the northern end of New Zealand with a remote but majestic awe. Sprawling and beautiful, the Tasman Sea collides with the Pacific Ocean at its northernmost point, a clash of waters that the Māori refer to as the meeting of Te Moana-a-Rehua, literally the meeting of the man-sea and the woman-sea.

Part of our Ultimate New Zealand itinerary, you’ll be given the chance to explore this hidden gem during your voyage’s 30-day journey. Here, we’ll guide you through the storied history of this sacred, serene part of the country.
