Sir Cliff was supposed to be performing with former The Smiths frontman Morrissey in New York this month, but the eagerly anticipated gig had to be cancelled as Morrissey pulled out through illness.
Morrissey, who had also planned to perform alongside Tom Jones, blamed his cold on one of his support acts Kristeen Young stating that he had contracted the cold off of her, but she has since denied this and revealed that this is not true.
So instead of performing at the Barclays Center, a 15,000 all-seated stadium in Brooklyn, Cliff Richard will be performing at the Gramercy Theatre in New York.
The gig is free-to-attend, meaning that people who are on USA escorted tours from the UK in June can go the gig.
Q&A session with Sir Cliff
As well as performing some of his most well-known hits, Sir Cliff Richard will also be partaking in a Q&A session with fans.
Fellow musicians Keith Hayman and Suzie Furlonger will also be performing alongside Sir Cliff Richard at the gig, which is set to be sold out fast.
In a statement Sir Cliff Richard said he was looking forward to the evening and that it would be a good evening.
He added, "It won't be the show I had planned to do with Morrissey but it could be a real nice evening."
Travellers looking to attend the gig are being urged to book up tickets as quickly as possible as they will come on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will also be given to fans who had originally bought tickets to see Cliff Richard performing with Morrissey.
