Tasmania features in Forbes’ coolest places to visit in 2015

The list has been put together by luxury travel manager Owen Gaddis, who is an expert in predicting the most talked about destinations, having travelled to some of the greatest adventurous locations in the world. His recommendations include the spectacular island state of Tasmania, which can be visited on escorted tours.

As a low key destination, 2015 is the perfect time to visit, while the island remains ‘remote and untouched’. Boasting stunning scenery, wonderful food culture and fascinating wildlife, this diverse destination is said to rival the Galapagos Islands and South Africa, and could well become a more frequent inclusion in visiting Tasmania with Scenic Tours, visitors can experience a trip of a lifetime, visiting a variety of locations over 25 days. Arrive in Hobart, known as the ‘gateway to the delights of the Apple Isle’ where you’ll stay in a waterfront hotel, before visiting the picturesque Cradle Mountain in Lake St Clair National Park, and discovering the coastal wilderness at Freycinet National Park.

The island is currently working on a proposal to encourage more people to visit its National Parks and World Heritage Areas, including the South Coast Track bushwalking route.

Other ‘hot’ destinations in the list that were named alongside Tasmania, include the American Prairie Reserve, Morocco and Vietnam.
