The ultimate art guide in LA


The very best USA tours often visit LA for at least two or three days and if you have a bit of spare time during your trip to the revered city, then you should spend it visiting the city’s museums and art galleries.

Norton Simon Museum

Although it is located just outside of Los Angeles, the Norton Simon Museum is certainly worth a visit as it houses a number of classic paintings and sculptures as well as boasting beautiful gardens.

One of the main attractions of the Norton Simon Museum is Vincent Van Gogh’s Portrait of a Peasant, which has wowed many art critics over the years. The museum also has Asian art, European art and modern art collections that attract hundreds of visitors every single day.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art always has a range of exhibitions on show and this year is no different.

Some of its exhibitions this year include Chinese paintings, Simon Doyle and his The Mind’s Eye exhibition as well as a Fútbol: The Beautiful Game exhibition, which looks at how football has an impact on different societies and the impact it has on nationalism, globalism and identity.

Frederick R Weisman Art Foundation

The foundation shows off the amazing collection of paintings that Frederick R Weisman has brought together during his life.

In all there are around 400 different types of work from the likes of Picasso, Cézanne, Warhol, Rothko and Kandinsky.
