Your starting point for this momentous journey is Chalon-sur-Saône, a charming commune in the heart of Burgundy’s famous ‘Golden Stone’ wine region. Travelling south, you’ll visit Tournus and Mâcon, where you can visit wineries like Château de Sauvigny-les-Beaune. After visiting ancient Lyon, you’ll journey deep into Provence, and savour stops in Tournon, Viviers and Avignon, where you can encounter wonderful highlights like the Palais des Papes, Château Tarascon and the iconic vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Choose from a selection of ways to travel to Chalon-sur-Saone. Pick from one of up to 14 UK regional airports or travel direct from London Heathrow. If you prefer not to fly, travel Standard Premier Class board the Eurostar from St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord.
