  1. Day 1 - UK > Lima

    Welcome to Lima, the bustling Peruvian capital, where your journey into wonder begins with an overnight stay.

  2. Day 2 - Lima (Callao)

    After breakfast, transfer to the port city of Callao to board Scenic Eclipse and toast to the start of your luxurious cruise.

  3. Day 3 - Paracas

    Paracas Bay, on the Pacific coastline of Peru is where the desert and the sea meet in spectacular landscapes. The cliffs that frame the beaches are prolific with wildlife including millions of seagulls and cormorants that are year round residents, as well as many migratory birds including guano birds and Humboldt penguins. Explore the wildlife rich Ballestas Islands, home to sea lion colonies and more than 200 species of birds.

    The World Heritage-listed city of Valparaíso welcomes you with its long and colourful history dating back to the Conquistadors. This vibrant city is rich in theatre, music, performance and street art, with most streets, staircases, alleyways and buildings brightly painted.

    Experience the winding cobblestone labyrinths of alleyways and bustling streets, and see brightly-coloured houses on the hills with your local guide or travel to the Casablanca Valley and taste some of Chile’s finest vintages.   9. Day 9 - Puerto Montt

    At the very end of the Pan American highway is Puerto Montt, the starting point for the fabled land of fjords, canals, islands, snow-capped volcanoes, green-forested hills and the enchantment of Southern Chile.

    Visit Puerto Varas and Frutillar and see the beauty of these towns set in the middle of lakes and mountains. Alternatively explore Osorno Volcano and Petrohué Falls or choose to visit the Felmer Museum and Frutillar, and learn about the German colonization history of this area.

  10. Day 10 - Castro

    Visit Castro, where the attractions of Chiloe and the local culture is combined with modern development to create one of the most interesting cities on Chiloe Island.

    Today choose one of our Scenic Freechoice activities or join a more active Scenic Discovery excursion.

  11. Day 11 - San Rafael Lagoon

    Journey to one of the most spectacular locations in Southern Chile. Board a local catamaran and cruise into the Laguna via a narrow opening revealing fantastic views of floating pieces of ice and the San Valentin Glacier. This glacier also has the distinction of being the world’s nearest glacier to the Equator. As a dramatic backdrop, the San Valentin Mountain rises from this massive ice field which is part of the Laguna San Rafael National Park.

  12. Day 12 - Inner Fjords

    Your senses will be overloaded with the majestic scenery and wildlife of the inner passages of the Chilean Channels, at the foot of the massive Darwin Cordillera mountain range. Watch from the Sky Terrace, the Observation Terrace or your private verandah as the Captain and local Chilean Pilot expertly manoeuvres Scenic Eclipse through the islands and channel markers of the English Narrows. Glaciers abound in this incredible landscape and you will discover the El Brujo and Amalia glaciers and many more highlights in these marvellous days of exploration.

  16. Day 16 - Punta Arenas

    Today visit Magdalena Island. Lying in the Magellan Strait, this small island is a national monument of Chile and a breeding location for many species of birds including the Magellanic Penguin.

    Sensory days of cruising await as you traverse the Agostini and Garibaldi Fjords. Glaciers abound with the Monte Buckland mountain range as the backdrop.

    Disembark and fly to Buenos Aires for an overnight stay.

  21. Day 21 - Buenos Aires > Iguazú Falls

    This morning fly to Iguazú Falls. Discover the walkways across the top of the falls on the Argentinean side to the lookout where you will see the famous ‘Devil’s Throat’ and be awed by the sheer volume of water cascading over the falls. Cross the border and enter the Brazilian National Park for your three night Special Stay. With an enviable setting inside the park gates, as a guest of the hotel you will be able to experience the sun setting over the top of the magnificent natural wonder of the falls without the general public.

  22. Day 22 - Iguazú Falls

    After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely walking tour to discover the Brazilian Falls before the park gates open to the public. Be awed by the world’s largest volume waterfall as you stand on the walkway in the middle of the falls. Your day continues with an exciting jet boat adventure where you will see the base of the falls and feel the spray of water on your face. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to enjoy this pristine wilderness and the facilities of your magnificent hotel.

    This morning explore Parque das Aves and be amazed by the colourful array of rare birds flying in the huge aviaries.

    This morning is a memory to treasure as you watch the sunrise across Rio from the base of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue with exclusive access before the park gates open to the public.

    Afterward, at Sugarloaf Mountain, the cable car ride takes you to the top of the peak for sweeping panoramic views. From there, continue your ascent to the apex of the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain on one of the world’s oldest cable cars. Along the way to the summit, take in the spectacular views of Rio and the surrounding landscape.
