14 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Depart UK

    Fly to Delhi from a choice of UK airports with selected airlines.

  2. Day 2 - Delhi

    We welcome you to North India with a traditional floral garland and red tikka before transferring to your hotel for the next three nights.

  3. Day 3 - Delhi

    Explore Old Delhi and India’s largest mosque, Jama Masjid. Dazzle your senses on a rickshaw ride through Asia’s largest wholesale spice bazaar and Delhi’s oldest streets, finishing with a traditional lunch in Dharmpura haveli. Later visit the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, Humayan’s Tomb. Tonight enjoy your special welcome dinner.

  4. Day 4 - Delhi

    Learn about the differences between three of India’s main religions or explore the National Museum and learn all about Gandhi. Alternatively visit the Qutub Minar, Lodi Gardens and Dilli Haat.

    Partake in a cooking demonstration and dinner at Marwah’s at Hauz Khas. Alternatively, try Qube all-day dining or Spicy Duck Chinese restaurant.

  5. Day 5 - Delhi > Jaipur

    Drive to Jaipur, known as the ‘Pink City’, with dinner tonight in a restored haveli. Stay at your regal hotel for three nights.

  6. Day 6 - Jaipur

    Visit the City Palace, home to the rulers of Jaipur. Marvel at the magnificent Jantar Mantar, an observatory built in the 18th century where the remarkable astronomical devices are still used today.

    Savour the opportunity of a lifetime by taking refreshments inside the residence of the Royal Family of Jaipur, an area not normally accessible to tourists.

    Discover the magnificent Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its honeycombed sandstone windows where the ladies of the royal household would watch everyday life. Take a rickshaw ride into small chowkris of the city before returning to your hotel.

    Learn about traditional Indian cooking with the Ikaki Niwas family or savour the views from high in Amber Fort whilst dining at 1136 Restaurant.

  7. Day 7 - Jaipur

    Revel in your visit to the striking 17th century hilltop Amber Fort. Explore the Maharajah’s apartments and soak in the views of the massive ramparts surrounding the complex.

  8. Day 8 - Jaipur > Ranthambore National Park

    After a relaxing morning, stop for lunch at the Castle Kanota, the setting for the Viceroy Club in the film ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’. Then visit Abhaneri village and its 1,000-year-old step well en route to Ranthambore National Park. Settle into your luxury tent for a two night Special Stay.

  9. Day 9 - Ranthambore National Park

    Accompanied by an expert wildlife naturalist, search for the elusive Bengal tiger during private morning and afternoon game drives into this former hunting reserve of the Maharajah of Jaipur.

  10. Day 10 - Ranthambore National Park > Agra

    Board a train to Bharatpur, then continue to Agra. In Agra revel at the location of your luxurious Special Stay hotel, only 600 metres from the magnificent Taj Mahal.

    At your hotel, choose from Esphahan, which specialises in traditional thali, or the buffet at the Bellevue.

  11. Day 11 - Agra

    Savour your sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal with its shimmering marble domes and towers reflecting in the landscaped pools. Inlaid with black marble and semi-precious stones, this architectural marvel was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite wife Mumtaz. Later, discover the World Heritage-listed Agra Fort and learn about the links between the two monuments.

    Gather for evening drinks to witness the changing hues at sunset and appreciate the architectural wonder of the Taj Mahal from your nearby hotel.

  12. Day 12 - Agra > Delhi (Gurgaon)

    Journey to Gurgaon stopping en route at the Tomb of I’timad-ud-Daulah, known as the Baby Taj. In Gurgaon, see Indian cinema come alive at the ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ Bollywood stage show, a vibrant spectacle of colour, music and dance. Check into your hotel, with its landscaped gardens and reflection pools. Tonight enjoy an Indian farewell dining experience.

  13. Day 13 - Delhi (Gurgaon) > UK
