20 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Depart the UK

    Fly with a world-renowned airline from London Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham or Glasgow. Why not include an outbound stopover? Enquire for details (additional expense). Included on board flight meal service and complimentary bar service.

  2. Day 2 - Arrive Perth

    Be met by a Scenic Representative and transferred to your hotel in Perth for a three-night Special Stay. Included on board flight meal service and complimentary bar service.

  3. Day 3 - Perth

    Explore the sights, such as Perth’s Mint, Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens. Alternatively, the city’s lively shopping precincts are perfect for indulging in a spot of retail therapy.

    Tonight, you will take to the waters of Swan River for a Welcome Dinner Cruise. With a glass of sparkling wine in-hand and a buffet laid out for you and your fellow Scenic guests, this is the perfect opportunity to raise a toast to the journey ahead with new friends and your Tour Director.

  4. Day 4 - Perth

    Explore the beautiful beaches and bays of Rottnest Island or a tour of Perth, including lunch and a cruise to Fremantle. Alternatively, enjoy a day out exploring the world renowned Pinnacles Desert, during off road driving and sand boarding on huge white sand dunes and see wildlife up close. Get to know the heritage and culture that gives Perth its quirks, on an informative and entertaining city walking tour guided by those who know best and enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee at a popular local café.

  5. Day 5 - Perth > Alice Springs

    You’ll be transferred to Perth Airport for a flight to Alice Springs, a popular gateway for those wishing to embark on an adventure through the country’s infamous Red Centre. Explore the Alice Springs Telegraph Station and learn about the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which inspired the television series. Visit the School of the Air and learn about the teaching methods helping to provide an education for children living in remote parts of Australia. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

    Take a laid-back walk through the bush of the Kangaroo Sanctuary as they wake from their sleep. A guide will be on-hand to teach you about the significance of the wildlife that inhabits the 90 acres of untouched land, founded by Chris Barnes, star of ‘Kangaroo Dundee’.

  6. Day 6 - Alice Springs > Uluru (Ayers Rock)

    Travel through Australia’s desert landscape before arriving at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for a two-night Special Stay at a unique luxury retreat.

    Tonight, you’re invited to a dining experience set amidst an outdoor exhibit called Field of Light. The mesmerising artwork, created by Bruce Munro, will be created from thousands of bulbs planted in the desert surrounding Uluru in the outback. As the sun sets and the lights twinkle, you’ll enjoy canapés, complimentary drinks and authentic Australian cuisine

  7. Day 7 - Uluru (Ayers Rock)

    Watch the sun rise over Uluru, before choosing from a number of exciting activities. Take to the asphalt for a leisurely ride on a Harley Davidson™, in the capable hands of an experienced rider, embark on a Uluru Highlights and Cultural Tour, trek around the rock’s giant base, or explore the desert by camel.

    This afternoon is yours to discover the mysteries of Kata Juta, followed by enjoying the sunset over Uluru from the viewing area.

  8. Day 8 - Uluru (Ayers Rock) > Melbourne

    Say goodbye to Australia’s Red Centre and fly to Melbourne to check into your hotel for a three-night stay.

  9. Day 9 - Melbourne

    On your first full day in the city, it won’t take you long to discover that this cultural hub has many unique characteristics, from bohemian Brunswick Street to the plentiful sporting stadiums. To introduce you, we’ve put together an exciting range of Scenic Freechoice activities.

    Take a trip to Phillip Island where you’ll see Australia’s wildlife and magical penguin parade, or embark on an unforgettable adventure down the Great Ocean Road. Alternatively, explore the city’s treasures on a Lanes & Arcades walking tour, or take a guided city tour. If sport is your thing, visit Melbourne Cricket Ground and National Sports Museum to learn about the country’s rich sporting history and maybe take in a cricket match.

  10. Day 10 - Melbourne

    Spend today however you please. Visit one of the city’s many art galleries or museums, or head to Federation Square and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

    Enjoy an early dinner on board a restored tramcar as it tours the city. Authentic Australian cuisine complements the stylish, old-fashioned ornate interiors and gives you a unique view of Melbourne.  Alternatively, dine at either Mr Hive or Mesh just two of the many restaurants within the Crown Melbourne Casino Complex.

  11. Day 11 - Melbourne > Thala Beach

    Fly to Cairns and travel north to Thala Beach  for a two-night Special Stay. Overlooking the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, spend the day relaxing.

  12. Day 12 - Great Barrier Reef

    No trip to Australia would be complete without a visit to the Great Barrier Reef, a 2,300km-long ecosystem comprised of thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands made of coral. Travel to Port Douglas and take a high-speed catamaran to a pontoon moored on the Outer Barrier Reef. Snorkel with an instructor and enjoy viewing the coral and sea life from a semi-submersible boat, taking a closer look at the underwater life.

    After getting up-close-and-personal with one of the ‘Seven Natural Wonders of the World’, you are invited to experience this epic icon from above during a short helicopter flight, offering unparalleled views of one of the planet’s most enchanting treasures.

  13. Day 13 - Cairns

    This morning, visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park for an educational morning before arriving in Cairns, where we’ve compiled some of the best sightseeing opportunities for you. With much to offer, we’ll give you the afternoon to do as you please. Navigate one of the walking tracks or swim in the man-made lagoon. Or, unwind and savour the laid-back ambiance of the city. Your two night stay is at your hotel in Cairns.

  14. Day 14 - Cairns

    Soar over the Atherton Tablelands on a hot air balloon flight at sunrise, or journey through magnificent rainforest on the Kuranda Scenic Railway before returning by Skyrail.  Alternatively, enjoy a great Australian wildlife experience at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures or The Best of the Cairns Tablelands which includes local tastings of smoked meats and native herbs.

  15. Day 15 - Cairns > Sydney

    Welcome to Sydney. Upon arrival you’ll check into your hotel for a four-night Special Stay, a short stroll from the harbour. Tonight, join your fellow guests for a sensational Captain’s Dinner Cruise around Sydney Harbour. Take in the sights and raise a toast to your journey while enjoying a three-course dining experience and complimentary drinks. The views are unparalleled, the food is sure to be exceptional and the company is second-to-none.

  16. Day 16 - Sydney

    Today, Sydney is yours to discover. Stroll the golden shores of Bondi Beach or get your cultural fix at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Remember, your Tour Director is on-hand to offer any advice.

  17. Day 17 - Sydney

    On your second full day in Sydney, we’ve put together a wide range of Scenic Freechoice excursions.

    Tour the famous Sydney Opera House, visit Taronga Zoo, wander around Sydney’s Botanical Garden, or take a day trip to the Blue Mountains and discover some local wildlife along the way.

  18. Day 18 - Sydney

    For your final day, we have planned two unforgettable experiences to ensure your journey ends in true Scenic style.

    After breakfast you’ll be transported to Rose Bay to board a seaplane for a spectacular scenic flight over some of Sydney’s premier attractions. Soar over the sandstone cliffs at the entrance to Sydney Harbour where you can see surfers and beach-goers mingle below. You’ll then return to Rose Bay via the inner harbour for a circuit above Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge (weather dependent).

    As evening approaches, you are invited to enjoy an unforgettable farewell dinner at an award-winning restaurant which boasts idyllic views of the Harbour Bridge and Harbour. As the sun begins to set over Sydney and your final evening comes to a close, this is the perfect opportunity to swap stories with your fellow guests and raise a toast to your unforgettable Australian adventure.

  19. Day 19 - Sydney > UK

    After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
