2019 Chalon-sur-Saone > Tarascon

Enjoy the cuisines & delights of France as you cruise the Rhone river. Board in Chalon-sur-Saône, where a world of wonder awaits you in the days ahead.
Few regions conjure such stored nostalgia and romance as southern France, and by far the best way to experience this idyllic corner of Europe is on the languid waters of the great Rhône River. Stretching from the Swiss Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, this iconic French river connects towns, cities and landscapes which are as distinct and fascinating as they are classically beautiful. Traverse the lavender fields of Provence and the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône as you weave towards the Mediterranean, passing such fabled towns and cities as Lyon, Avignon, Mâcon, Tournon, Tarascon and Viviers. This is your chance to savour the wines of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape, explore the monumental Palais des Papes, and discover why Lyon is so freely dubbed the ‘gourmet capital of the world’
