  1. Day 1 - UK > Bogotá

    Fly from the UK overnight to Bogotá. Regional airports are available on request.

  2. Day 2 - Bogotá

    Welcome to Bogotá, the lively capital of Colombia, for your two-night Special Stay. Meet your Tour Director for a ‘Welcome to Colombia’ dinner.

  3. Day 3 - Bogotá

    Explore the historic centre of La Candelaria and visit the Museo del Oro housing an impressive array of golden artefacts.

  4. Day 4 - Bogotá > Pereira

    Fly to Pereira for your three night Special Stay. Over the next three days explore this important coffee producing region at the foothills of the Andes.

  5. Day 5 - Pereira

    Explore this picturesque region visiting traditional villages set amongst spectacular landscapes. At Filandia village, walk the streets and see the quaint artisan stores. In Cocora Valley, admire the stunning landscapes and see Colombia’s national symbol, the Wax Palm Tree. Discover the original colonial architecture in Salento.

  6. Day 6 - Pereira

    Learn about coffee in a hands-on experience from roasting and grinding to brewing. Be welcomed into the homes of local families, taste home-made beverages using produce from their gardens and experience a unique taste of Colombian life.

  7. Day 7 - Pereira > Medellín

    Visit a local Finca and sample home-grown produce and see a private orchid collection. In Medellín, enjoy a two night stay.

  8. Day 8 - Medellín


    Learn about the incredible social transformation of this vibrant city since the death of Pablo Escobar. Alternatively, visit Botero Square, Pies Descalzos Park and take a cable car ride to Santo Domingo.

  9. Day 9 - Medellín > Cartagena

    Fly to Cartagena for your overnight Special Stay. Discover the rich history and colonial architecture on your walking tour. Visit the haunting Palace of the Inquisition and the Santo Domingo Church, then discover the intriguing history of Castillo de San Felipe.


    Marvel at the city by night on your horse and carriage ride and sample delicious Colombian specialities.

  10. Day 10 - Cartagena

    Say farewell to Cartagena as you board Scenic Eclipse and are greeted warmly by the crew.

  11. Day 11 - San Blas Islands

    Spend the day relaxing in this beautiful archipelago, home to the Kuna people and surrounded by pristine sandy beaches dotted with coconut palms, crystal clear waters and coral reefs swarming with marine life.

  12. Day 12 - Panama Canal

    One of life’s great experiences is to transit the Panama Canal, one of the world’s key strategic artificial waterways. From Gatun Lake to the Pacific Ocean, the full day journey through the Isthmus of Panama is 77 kilometres long and will take you through three locks where Scenic Eclipse will descend 27 metres. Enjoy this experience from any vantage point on board Scenic Eclipse; from one of the viewing decks to the privacy of your suite’s verandah, it is sure to be a memorable experience.

  13. Day 13 - Darién National Park

    World Heritage-listed Darién National Park is only accessible by water on a small ship. A natural bridge spanning the two Americas, it houses a myriad of habitats, ranging from rocky coastlines to sandy beaches and mangroves, and is one of the few remaining examples in the world of a protected area inhabited by humans.

    Venture up the Mogue River to find the Embera Indians who will take you into the heart of their village. Learn about their traditions and lifestyle, while interacting with the local people. See some of the local dances and craftsmanship. Try to spot some of the rare, endangered species endemic to the park including the Black-headed Spider Monkey, the Capybara and American Crocodile.

  14. Day 14 - Utria

    The Utría National Natural Park is home to an abundance of marine wildlife and mangroves. The beauty of its landscapes, the excellent condition of its ecosystems and its great cultural wealth, are all part of the unique heritage of the Pacific Region of northern Colombia.

    Today choose one of our Scenic Freechoice activities or join a more active Scenic Discovery excursion.


    Choose to experience a mangrove swamp on walkways that wind through this fragile ecosystem, or visit Playa Blanca and take the opportunity to explore one of the white beaches of the Colombian Pacific coast at your leisure.


    Venture into the rainforest with a local guide to see an amazing wealth of plant and animal life, or kayak the calm waters of Utria and witness the great wealth of bird and other animal life in this rich habitat.

  15. Day 15 - At sea

    Relaxation and rediscovery are yours to enjoy. Take a cooking or tasting class in Scenic Epicure or a yoga or Pilates class in the studio. Allow your palate to be delighted by the extensive range of dining venues or allow your butler to serve you in-suite. Enjoy the daily entertainment or some quiet time in The Observatory, all this and more is at your fingertips.

  17. Day 17 - Salaverry

    Salaverry is the gateway to the cultural capital of Peru, picturesque Trujillo and the amazing ruins of Chan Chan, the largest earthen city of pre-Columbian America.


    Discover the sacred adobe temples, the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon or explore the amazing World Heritage-listed site of Chan Chan. Alternatively choose to tour the charming colonial city of Trujillo and the Archaeological Museum or, visit the cafeteria House Deza and see a Marinera Show.


    Be amazed with the grace and elegance of the Peruvian Paso horse in a charming display of these beautiful and authentic animals.

    This evening there is time to discover the ambience of Trujillo at your leisure.

  18. Day 18 - Isla Guanape

    Lying off the Pacific Ocean coast of Peru this small island chain is a wildlife refuge and home to large colonies of inquisitive Southern sea lions and hundreds of seabirds including Humboldt penguins, pelicans and boobies.

  19. Day 19 - Lima (Callao) > UK

    Lima signals the end of your cruise as you disembark after breakfast taking away memories of your adventures. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your overnight flight home. Please book your flight to depart after 12pm.
