19 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - UK > Johannesburg

    Fly overnight from the UK to Johannesburg

  2. Day 2 - Johannesburg

    Welcome to South Africa. Meet your fellow travellers at your hotel for your two night stay.

  3. Day 3 - Johannesburg


    Explore Soweto with your local guide and visit Nelson Mandela’s house. Learn about 20th century South Africa at your visit to the Apartheid Museum.

  4. Day 4 - Johannesburg > Victoria Falls

    Board your flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The world’s largest sheet of falling water rises 108 metres high and spans a gorge carved out of a flat plateau. Check into your marvellously colonial hotel for your three night Special Stay.


    Enjoy a special Zambezi River Sundowners cruise and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, drink in hand.

    Tonight’s outdoor dinner features a display of traditional dancing.

  5. Day 5 - Chobe National Park

    Large concentrations of big game call Chobe National Park home. Embark on a game drive along the shoreline, where predators often come for water. Later, enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Large pods of hippo and giraffe families inhabit the banks and woodlands.

  6. Day 6 - Victoria Falls

    Optional Helicopter Flight - Enjoy an optional helicopter flight over Victoria Falls. See page 95 for details (additional expense, please book on tour).


    Visit a typical Zimbabwean village for insights into traditional tribal life and meet the elephants during your visit to the elephant sanctuary.

    Later, witness the power of Victoria Falls with a tour from the Zimbabwean side of the worlds largest waterfall. Enjoy dinner in the beautiful Livingstone Restaurant.

  7. Day 7 - Victoria Falls > Nairobi

    Fly to Nairobi and transfer to your elegant hotel for a two night stay.

  8. Day 8 - Nairobi

    Start your day with an encounter with a giraffe, then visit Karen Blixen’s home. Continue to the Kiambethu Tea Farm and learn about the first commercially grown tea in Kenya.

  9. Day 9 - Nairobi > Amboseli National Park

    Travel to Amboseli National Park for two nights at your lodge, situated beside a major elephant trail, with views of the mountain.

  10. Day 10 - Amboseli National Park

    Go in search of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives.


    Climb to the top of Observation Hill for sunset views and drinks.

  11. Day 11 - Amboseli National Park > Mount Kenya

    Arrive at your hotel for your two night Special Stay.

  12. Day 12 - Mount Kenya


    Travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and visit a sanctuary for chimpanzees. Alternatively, enjoy a bird walk or perhaps a round of golf (9 holes).


    Partake in a symbolic Equator ceremony with tribal music and dancing.

  13. Day 13 - Mount Kenya > Lake Nakuru National Park


    Visit the Lake Nakuru Orphanage centre, established by an Australian family, and draw a little closer to Africa and its wonderful people.

    Enjoy a two night stay at your lodge.

  14. Day 14 - Lake Nakuru

    Enjoy a visit to Lake Elmenteita, a shallow lake in the Great Rift Valley. Over 400 bird species have been found here including the flamingo.

  15. Day 15 - Lake Nakuru > Masai Mara National Reserve

    The Masai Mara is home to numerous bird and animal species, and also witnesses the Great Wildebeest Migration from July to September. Spend three nights at Sarova Mara Camp.

  16. Day 16 - Masai Mara National Reserve

    Game drives track lions, cheetahs and leopards, and herds of antelope and zebra.


    Visit a traditional Maasai village and learn about this proudly independent culture.

  17. Day 17 - Masai Mara National Reserve
